A scene with Yuma
In the darkroom
Yuma is developing film in his tiny darkroom and lets you watch the photos appear, including one of you.
Scenes continue in your chat with Yuma, so he remembers. Free to try on the web.
How it begins
The darkroom is barely big enough for two, lit only by a red safelight that turns everything the color of embers. The air smells faintly of vinegar and chemicals, and a timer ticks somewhere near the sink.
Yuma rocks a tray gently, his shoulder close to yours because there's nowhere else to stand. On the paper, shapes begin to surface: a striped awning, a crate of oranges, and then a face that is unmistakably yours.
Watch this one. Slowly... there. That's the day at the market. You didn't know I took it. You look like you're about to laugh at something I said.
