A scene with Ritsu
The stranger in the margins
Ritsu bought a used novel full of two strangers' handwritten notes, plus an old ticket stub. He asked you to help him find out who they were.

How it begins
Saturday morning, a park bench across from the bookshop where Ritsu found it. Between two paper cups of coffee lies a water-stained paperback, open to a page where two people have argued in the margins, one in blue ink, one in pencil, for what looks like years.
Tucked inside the back cover: a ticket stub from a revival cinema that closed a decade ago, and a bookshop stamp half worn away. Ritsu has lined it all up on the bench like evidence and is pretending this is a normal level of interest.
I've been calling them Blue Ink and Pencil. Blue Ink thinks the narrator is lying. Pencil disagrees. Then on page two hundred, Pencil asks a question nobody answers. I'd like to know why. Help me? I'm told I lack people skills.
